Marcus Ball
Florida State Head Coach Bobby Bowden made a quick pit stop in Stone Mountain, Georgia on Tuesday afternoon. The target, five-star linebacker Marcus Ball. The Seminole Skipper didn't spend a lot of time at Stephenson High School, but he did leave a lasting impression.
"It went good," said Stephenson Head Coach Ronald Gartrell. "They came in and talked to Marcus and took off. They said they really want to have him. It was a quick visit."
Gartrell says that as far as he knows, his star linebacker did not commit to Florida State during the visit.
"He was excited about seeing Coach Bowden, just like I was," he said. "His decision will come down to signing day. I got no indication on which way he was leaning. They (FSU) are right neck and neck with Miami."
The 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker has already taken his official visit to Florida State and probably won't take any other visits.
"He's already had his official (to FSU)," said Gartrell, "He's not going anywhere that I know."
Ball is ranked as the No. 2 outside LB in the country by Rivals.com and racked up well over 100 tackles over the course of his senior season.
Looks like Tech is outta the picture...hmmm (for some reason I think I have said that before)
He must really like Miami to have them in his top two, and not even have an offer....
